The work for the Interactive Screening started as soon as we got there on Tuesday 17th December at 9:00am we started by bringing chairs into the room and arranging them in the style of a train, as much like the train in The Polar Express as we could. After that, Matt, Aiden, Rory, Reegan and I went to get changed into our costumes in the men's toilet and classroom next to the toilets as you come down the very slight negative slope when leaving the area where E170 is. Once we had changed into our attire for the Interactive Screening we returned to the classroom to help how we could in transforming the room, instead though I went around a couple more classrooms on E floor with Bela, after she went and got changed into her elf costume, to promote the Interactive Screening to them saying where it was happening, what time it was happening, what refreshments were available, what film was being shown and what it was (an Interactive Screening). While we were doing this everybody in E170 was still changing the way the room was laid out and moving the tables to the side of the room to put the refreshments on them, put cotton balls on them to resemble snowballs and hanging snowflakes made of paper that were cut out very precisely which made them look very much like real snowflakes just a little bigger which were created by Kinga. Also, Riane and Bela put up signs on E floor with arrows on them directing people to E170 if they were looking for how to get to our Interactive Screening and were lost which was a very good last minute idea.

I spent the rest of the morning rehearsing the dance routine we did during the hot chocolate scene on the train and the part of the film when Santa Claus makes his grand entrance and the bell falls in front of Hero Boy during which I went to the front of the room and wished the audience happy holidays, however I added a bit more during the actual screening. The other notable thing that happened in the morning while preparing for the afternoon was when I managed to rip my trousers and jacket that I was wearing as Santa Claus but luckily Tenzin was able to use his ability to sew well to fix my trousers but we decided to leave the hole in the jacket as it was only where my left armpit was so it wasn't really visible anyway. I went for lunch out of my Santa Claus outfit but when we came back to college I got changed into it, in the same toilets again, but this time putting on a different white shirt because I managed to misplace my other one somehow but nevertheless the other white shirt I wore worked just as well so then we just waited for people to start arriving so the screening could begin.

In the afternoon, the Interactive Screening started at 1:00pm as people started to fill up the seats in the classroom and we waited for all of them to be filled before we decided to press play on the film. Before it began Matt (dressed as the conductor) Ella and I welcomed everyone coming into the screening with Matt playing the role of the conductor with the same spitefulness and passive aggression that the conductor has in the film. I then stood at the front of the classroom and welcomed everyone collectively to the Interactive Screening and telling them where they could find the food and drink and what food and drink was available and what options were available for those who had specific allergies too and once I finished saying that the film started.

The first part of interaction that we did was the dance routine where we come into the room dancing in a line and then when we get to front of the classroom we start dancing and clapping in time with the beat of the music in the scene which went well except for the fact that I left the room way too soon after actually getting to the front but it wasn't noticeable that it wasn't planned to go that way so it was fine. The other piece of interaction we did was when we walked into the room during the scene where Santa Claus arrives and Sam did a back flip and I went to the front of the room with Sam and Rory and exclaimed "Happy families!!" as I held onto them much like a husband/father would and then after standing at the front with them for a few seconds we headed back out of the room. After that except for standing at the front and thanking everyone for coming to the Interactive Screening it was over. I feel that overall the day went well and although not everything went completely to plan but we still put on good screening that was both entertaining and engaging for our audience and what didn't go exactly how it went in rehearsal it was still done well enough and amounted to enjoyable Interactive Screening that I'm proud of, Faye is proud of it and believes it is the best screening she's ever seen because of how organized and unique it was and I'm sure the whole class is very proud of it as well.
