On Tuesday 17th December I spent the lesson taking part in and preparing for the Interactive Screening. The beginning of the day was spent with me getting changed into my Santa Claus costume and helping the rest of the group set up the room to resemble the layout of a train to relate to The Polar Express and add decorations to the room to make the atmosphere feel very Winter based. Also, I spent the morning rehearsing the two interactive routines with Aiden, Reegan, Bela and Rory which were us dancing to the scene on the train where they serve hot chocolates to the children on the train and the scene in which Santa Claus makes his grand entrance and the bell falls in front of Hero Boy. I also helped a bit with setting up the food as well by placing crisps and popcorn on the tables placed around the sides of the room. Then, in the afternoon it was time for the Interactive Screening to begin which started at 1:00pm and lasted until about 3:30pm and once the Interactive Screening had finished we handed out the survey asking the audience questions including what was their favourite part of their scenery, how did you find out about the Interactive Screening, better or worse as far as how interactive it is and whether they gained anything from the experience. Overall, I think that the Interactive Screening went very well and the whole of the class worked together to make a very entertaining and engaging performance that the audience who came to Interactive Screening enjoyed a lot which I feel was due to the way Ella produced and organised the event and the way everyone gave their best effort in ensuring in ran as smoothly as it could and I feel that is why it was a success and according to Faye it was the best Interactive Screening she'd ever seen so I am very happy with how it went.
