Weekly Reflection- Week 1

On Tuesday 10th September we started back at college after completing year one of the course and having a two month break over the summer. Our first lesson of year two was with Faye in the morning from 9:00am to 12:15pm and what happened was we were put into groups for our first project back, the picture postcard project, and we came up with the basis at least of what idea would be. We also created our blogs for all of our work this year too which we made our own with our own choice of design and format for our website for the rest of the lesson. In Rob's lesson in the afternoon from 1:00pm to 5:15pm we looked at different lenses ranging from 14mm to 85mm, had a demonstration of how they work from Rob who also gave us diagrams of lenses for us to use when we are struggling with the cameras and when we are confused about how to do something on them and we also went out and experimented with the lenses as well by taking various photos and filming a bunch of different shots with them as well. More specifically the lens we used was the 85mm lens.Then, on Wednesday although it was a strike day and our tutorial and one to one with Sasha was cancelled I came into college anyway to redo the rationale because it didn't save when we did it together on Tuesday so I did it again and sent it to Ella via email so that she was able to complete the proposal part easily and more conveniently. The next day on Thursday in Marissa's lesson from 9:00am to 12:15pm we were able to decide what exactly our idea would be and therefore we all spent the lesson working on pre-production and the pre-production I did for the lesson was the risk assessment. On Friday I came into to help another group out with their picture postcard project but there was no equipment available when they went to book it out so they ended up not filming at all on Friday. Overall, I think my first week back at college was a good and I feel prepared and back in the right mindset for college and I'm looking forward to the rest of the year.
