Weekly Reflection- Week 15

On Tuesday 14th January in Faye's lesson in the morning I finished my theory weekly reflections for the second lesson we had on the Dystopian Futures Essay which was the emergency session that we had at lunch time, the end of the deadline week reflection and the weekly reflection for this week's lesson. I was able to get the weekly reflection about the emergency session finished by the end of the lesson and I finished the other two theory weekly reflections at home in the evening so that I had everything finished for Wednesday as the deadline for everything was at 4:00pm on the day so I made sure to get everything for unit 9 up on my blog and all done for the end of Tuesday. In the afternoon, during Rob's lesson me and Harry started working on our documentary with him creating a survey about music being able to evoke emotions from people and how it is able to make people connect with each other because of how powerful it is. In the documentary we will be comparing the music genres Emo Rap and Grunge and we will be talking about how although musically they are very different. Lyrically, they aren't necessarily too similar either, but what is the same is the passion and emotion behind what is being said in the music as the sincerity and intensity of both genres makes it easy for fans to gravitate towards the artists/bands and want to be part of the cultural movements that the genres caused because they feel like they are understood by the artist/band and that they are with people who feel the same way they do. We will include stock footage as well as interviewing two people (one person for each genre) that we feel best represents the general demographic of the fans of each genre and using the video and sound from that. Then, in Marissa's lesson on Thursday since I had finished the evaluation for my Video Installation already and everything that needed to be on my blog was on my blog I spent the lesson completing the Ofsted survey sent to students over text and I also gave people in the class feedback on Facebook. Overall, I think that the work I produced and what I was able to create, as well as starting to really get work done for the documentary I am very pleased that I have become motivated to start getting work done for it and that I am able to continue making everything to a good quality that I am happy with as I want to be able to prove what I am capable of in everything that I make and I feel that the work I completed this week shows that.
