On Tuesday 28th January in Faye's lesson in the morning we worked on pre-production for the documentary and the pre-production I completed was the call sheet and shooting schedule as well as starting the location recce of the TV studio too. I was able to finish the call sheet and shooting schedule in Faye's lesson but I ended up finishing my location recce and a floor plan of the TV studio in Rob's lesson. Another thing that I did in Faye's lesson and then in Rob's lesson as well until it was my turn to present, was make changes to my six modes of documentary PowerPoint and adding correct definitions of the six modes (Poetic, Expository, Observational, Participatory, Reflexive and Performative) to the appropriate slides as well as including examples that best epitomize the mode it was used to represent along with an explanation of why the examples I used are the modes of documentary that I have claimed they are. After Rory, Reegan and Ella had done their presentations it was time for me to do my presentation and it went quite well, I got a distinction with my only criticism being that I need to be more confident when presenting and that I need more self-belief so that I am better at making what I'm saying completely believable and more genuine with the way I present myself to the people watching and listening to me.

On Thursday, in Marissa's lesson we met the new Achievement Coach Charlie for the first time and we set our term targets for last term as well as for this term too. The targets I set for term one are to be more confident in myself and in my work, to ask for guidance if I'm struggling with work in any way and ensuring I spend a good amount of time doing college work, but not so much to a point where I'm doing too much work and it's unhealthy. For term two I set my targets as making my blog posts shorter so that people don't have to skim read through them because of how long they are, set my firm choice, insurance choice and three other choices on UCAS and also make sure that I prepare for future Student Representative meetings better and further in advance. I uploaded my six modes of documentary PowerPoint to my blog as part of pre-production as it comes under contextualizing the genre of documentary. On Friday, we filmed the interviews in the TV studio with Freya and Rob, but the footage on the camera that stayed static while filming Rob was a bit blurry and not framed very well so we will re-shoot his interview next Thursday but otherwise filming went very well and we got what wee needed. Overall, I feel like I produced a good amount of work during this week and achieved a lot in doing so as I think that the quantity of what I completed felt strenuous at times but proved to be possible as I was able to get it done and finished to a quality that I am proud of.
