Weekly Reflection- Week 8

On Tuesday 12th November during Faye's lesson during the morning we went to Broadway Cinema to watch a documentary called 'Pick of the Litter' which was about the journey of a service dog from their birth to when they become a fully-fledged service dog or when they don't. Then, in Rob's lesson in the afternoon we watched the documentary that Rob was a Camera Operator for and was part of the crew for and it was about a group of men with disabilities who go on a trip to Spain to go to a brothel to lose their virginity. After break we watched the film adaptation of the documentary called 'Hasta la Vista' with only minor alterations such as the blonde guy dying throughout the film and the blind guy falls in love with the carer that takes them all on the trip and in the film they end up going to the brothel but not paying for sexual intercourse and the film ends with them being there for the blonde guy when he dies so that they can give him a send off that they feel he deserves. On Wednesday, in the morning we went to watch the film Good Bye Berlin which is a German film about two boys who meet at school and they steal a car and go on a summer road trip through East Germany. I then spent the rest of my day in C155 helping Riane with her application for Camp America and working on my fourth draft of my personal statement as well. In the morning during Marissa's lesson on Thursday the lesson was spent looking at video artists and coming up with our ideas and our proposals for our video installation but because I had already done that I spent the lesson helping other people with their work and their ideas/proposals then in the afternoon I finished my fourth draft of my personal statement and sent it to the UCAS advisor Amy Baulcombe to see what she thinks of it and to see how else I can improve it and change it to make it better. Overall, I am pleased with what I completed and achieved during the week and I am happy with what I have to do still because I feel confident that I am organized enough to get it done to a good quality in the time I have available to me to get it finished.
